Best Movie Rumor of 2006... Aaron Duran
I love Brad Bird. Flat out love him. Period, end of story.
I can only watch The Iron Giant a couple times a year... Simply because the writing shames me to no end and I hate knowing that Vin Diesel is going to make me cry like a little girl with a skinned knee every single time!
Then there is The Incredibles, the film that has forever prevented anyone from ever creating a story about a family of superheroes. Ever. Hell, even Stan Lee, the man behind the Fantastic Four. The template from which all superhero families are from had to watch that movie and say, "damn". (Since he can no longer say "excelsior" without paying Marvel tons of cash)...
And now, a tiny blurb in a Time magazine article about the future of Pixar had your friendly neighborhood Geek all aflutter... Yes, aflutter... Back off!
Little is known of future projects, but Incredibles auteur Brad Bird has long wanted to direct a noir-style film, possibly based on Will Eisner's comic The Spirit
Pixar...Noir...Brad Bird...The Spirit?!?!
Please, dear God, please allow all the powers that be see the genius behind this idea.
Please.
