Chapter 1 - Entercom Killed the Radio Star

Aaron Duran

You know, as a big ‘ol Geek you’d think one would be used to the Man making decisions that screw with one’s favorite show…

Star Trek
Sports Night
Arrested Development
The Lone Gunman

Yea, you spend days and days joking with friends that the shows days are numbered. We complain that the powers that be simply don’t “get it”. That doesn’t make the news of your favorite shows being hosed any easier. It just makes you a little more cynical.

Like Batman, you dig in. You power on.

As many folks who read this site know by now, MAX 910 is no longer on the air. KISN now broadcasts automates from the banks of feces filled Willamette River… Although, after popping over to 910 yesterday afternoon on three separate occasions just cause; I can’t help but wonder if Entercom owns anything besides one God damn Credence Clearwater Revival CD… There is only so much John Fogerty one can listen to…

That’s just the nature of business I guess… Hose local talent so some suits profit can (potentially) go up a couple of points. I suppose I’m more upset at the Lumbergization (yes, I just verbed a character… Like having something McGuyvered, but without the mullet) of American talent. I have no doubt at all that Rick, Tim, and Mr. Clyde Lewis will land on their feet…

Bigger, stronger, faster… Lee Majors style!

Geeks are good at keeping the faith.

Often, it’s all we have… Besides… Sometimes it works… Trek came back, Family Guy came back, and even Hal Jordan made it back!

All thanks to FANS!

As Mr. Spock is found of saying... "There are always...possibilites."
