GEEK CHECK!!!
Local Help and Pimpage! Aaron Duran
While you might not agree with me, I am honestly terrible at legitimate self-promotion. Sure, I can joke in Film Fever Radio about this fine site. I’m totally fine with slipping in self-deprecating jokes about how this site does nothing but earn me free comics and movie passes. However, as the Lovely Jenn so often reminds me, I need to hold my head high and with pride. After a couple of years of shrugging and saying, "yea, I know, I know." I've decided to take her (and everyone else) seriously. With that in mind, pop on over to the Best of the Willamette Week 2008.
(http://wweek.com/bop2008/?step=2) Give your love to Geek in the City in the “Best Blog” section. Do I consider this site a typical "blog"? Not really, but one needs to start somewhere. All the writers and I at Geek in the City are pretty damn proud of this little site. We want to party and take one for all the geeks in every city!
Now, onto other fantastic bits of Pimpage!
