Random Comic Book Movie (and Show) News… Aaron Duran
I need to start posting more and more of the rumors and images as I receive them... I will admit to be in the slacking department and allowing other sites to "scoop" me. So, these may be a tad late, but, I feel it is my responsibility to provide this information to you… The GeekintheCity.com reader!
A Justice League spin-off? Yes, certain people at the CW's programming department were very impressed with the performance of the Smallville episode "Justice" and are thinking about a Justice League program... (Even if certain Portland Mercury writers think otherwise… Your time is coming sir, your time is coming). My thoughts? Great idea, not gonna' happen, nor would it happen correctly. Why? Simple, I don’t see Welling returning to play Superman yet again. Once Smallville ends, Welling is going to busy trying to be anything but the Man of Steel, like he coming a 21st Century George Reeves. Also, to properly display a Justice League live action show, the budget would be astronomical... Unless all climactic actions were done off screen, ala 2nd Season Next Generation episodes, and no one wants to see that. If we are watching the adventures of the JLA, we want epic action... Heroes is already doing the "subtle superheroes" thing and doing it quite well. I still believe the smart money is on a live action Legion of Superheroes... But, that isn’t ever going to happen... Ever. Fools!
Metal Gear agent invades the Spiderman franchise! Okay, maybe that was a bit harsh… But, look at the costume for the new Green Goblin. Dang, I feel like he belongs in a first person shooter.

Look, as I have stated hundreds of times in the past, I have complete and utter faith in Sam Raimi. That being said, damn does Green Goblin 2.0 look asinine... Come on Sam don't let me down. (Like he can…Ah Sam, I love you so)... Whoa, that got a tad creepy.
Speedracer going for a G rating. Well, this is dumb. Why? Because even the 30+ year old television show clocked in at the PG rating... Plus, can you imagine the Wachowski Brothers attempting a family friendly film? Yea, me either...
