Shirley Walker - 1945 - 2006

Aaron Duran

Just learned the sad news that the very talented Shirley Walker passed away from a brain aneurism.

Many a Geek, but particualry Batman Geeks, will know her work from Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm. (The best Batman film until the release of Batman Begins). Her scores were dense and full of rich life.

Shirley Walker also stood out in a field that is all but dominated by men. She was a talent who will be sorely missed... Really would have liked to heard her take on the DC: New Frontiers series.

We will miss you Shirely.
