Stan Winston Dead! Aaron Duran
I just received a couple of un-substantiated emails regarding the death of Stan Winston. (I know Aint It Cool just broke the sad news as well). Hopefully these aren't true. However, upon personal research and multiple confirmation emails; I think this is the sad, sad case.
No word yet from "official" sources, but reports feel "true".
This is a massive loss to cinema. Not just Geeks. Not just Special Effects. Stan Winston made an immeasurable impact on Popular Culture.
Damn.
I wish I could say more.
I can't.
Just as the day Jim Henson passed, some of my vivid imagination lost a dear friend and inspiration.
