Stumptown Comics Fest! Aaron Duran
Hey kids, Portland comics rock! While New York might be the home of Marvel and DC, Portland is hands down the real king of comics. You’ll be hard pressed to find a city with more comic book writers, artists, inkers, and letterers than Portland “F’ing” Oregon. The Stumptown Comics Fest celebrates this glorious fact.
The event runs on Saturday and Sunday (9/29 – 9/30) at the Lloyd Center Double Tree Hotel from 10 am to 6 pm. Tickets are $5.00 for each day.
You will definitely find your friendly neighborhood Geek perusing the isles and creator tables this weekend, come on by and join in the 3-color fun. Around 8pm, I think I'll be taking in the fantastic fun at Cosmic Monkey Comics as they host the (likely drunken) Comic Art Battle!
