2007 HAUNTS
Yea They're Dead, They're All Messed Up... On Stage! Aaron Duran
Zombies and theatre, to a Geek of my dramatic disposition that is the entertainment equivalent of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. (The greatest of all candies, I don’t care what other people tell you). Your friendly neighborhood Geek wanted to pull off such a combination for years, alas; he’s all talk much of the time and didn’t get around to it. Thankfully, the fantastic performers at Blue Monkey Theater Company in Beaverton, Oregon picked up the slack.
Opening on October 19, 2007, their annual Night of the Living Dead theatrical performance promises to up the violence and gore from their 2006 performance. Taking the classic George Romero film, the Blue Monkey Theater Company creates the most terrifying theatrical experience of all time. Sit and watch as seven survivors try to keep their sanity and lives during the opening night of the zombie apocalypse. With more zombies and audience interaction, Night of the Living Dead is a show not to be missed. I couldn’t make it last year, but you can count me among the dead this year!
You can learn more at Blue Monkey Theater Co or at their MySpace page. The show runs October 19 – 31 on Fridays & Halloween at 10pm and Saturdays at 10pm and Midnight. Tickets are $12.00. Ages 13 and up due to gore and violence.
Aim for the head!
