Only Date Geeks - Repost

I'm not sure why, but once in a while I get some request to post an older article... Even though the site is completely searchable, folks still ask for them. And, since I am still cleaing out the sagebrush from my time in the 'ville, I am totally punking out and re-posting the ever popular Only Date Geeks rant... Hope you enjoy my blatant cop-out. Promise... New stuff tomorrow... A rant and a review!

I’ve dated many women in my young life and I can say without a doubt that Geeks girls are the most fun. This may have to do with the fact that I am most comfortable around my own, and for the most part this is true. But, there are a couple other reasons why Geek women are the BEST women to hang with…

Geek women will NEVER feign interest in something you enjoy. For some reason yet unknown Geek women just will not pretend to be interested. If they do not like something you do, they’ll tell you. However, to their credit they also won’t tease you about enjoying said hobby. They’ll just go do their own thing when you’re off playing. The good news is that the number of items you and a Geek woman WON’T have in common is pretty darn small. In fact, the odds are good that she (at the very least) will WANT to learn more about your hobby and you hers. The only real drawback is that you’ll find yourselves spending a lot of time together and may start to annoy each other. Seriously, how much of ME could you stand? Thankfully, another wonder of the Geek woman is… Independence!

As I have mentioned before, geeks tend to be an insular lot. Sure we have friends, but we spend a good amount of time alone or attached to a computer searching for scripts. (You know who you are)! This creates a pretty strong independent streak. You will never see a Geek woman acting clingy, unless she’s trying to assimilate you or something equally geeky and hot. They like having lives of their own and don’t “need” your sorry ass. This makes the time you are together that much more special. You’re both there because you WANT to be, not cause you NEED to be. A smart way to go indeed.

Smart, yet another reason to date a Geek woman. Geeks as a rule tend to be pretty bright. We like to read and lock away all types of information, most of it useless of course. Geek women though are usually smarter. For the most part women tend to be smarter then guys anyway (as men are simple, simple creatures). So, you add the natural smarts of a woman, their genetic nag powers (that one’s going to get me yelled at) with the powers of Geekdom and you have a force to be reckoned with. Unlike Geek guys though, Geek women don’t have a need to throw said knowledge in your face. But, you throw down the gauntlet on a real Geek woman and your ass will be schooled!

The final reason… Well, Geek women are flat out HOT! Period. End of story. Don’t believe me? Observe…fools… Hot! Whew! Damn! Smoking! Wow! Okay, so maybe those lovely ladies aren't Geeks...But you get my point!

I wish the above could be said about Geek men, sorry women (and guys), but most Geek men just aren’t that hot. Sure, we can be smart and witty…but lack of sunlight and years eating Doritos really takes its toll on a dude…
